The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 was awarded the Best Update from Runners World in their Winter 2010 magazine, and its no surprise as it still remains one of the best stability running shoes on the market. The Adrenaline GTS 11 is a lightweight stability shoe, an excellent reminder that you don’t have to sacrifice performance for getting some support out of your running shoe. I recommend this shoe if you have normal or low arches and need a soft stability shoe.
Updates to this year’s Adrenaline GTS
The weight of this year’s Adrenaline GTS 11 is 9.4 ounces for the women’s shoe, and 11.3 ounces for the men’s shoe, this is a slight increase of 0.2 ounces from the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10. This weight increase is from the addition of a few new features, most notably the addition of a heel cradle and Brooks DNA gel cushioning to help soften the ride. A problem that many people experienced with the Adrenaline GTS 10 was keeping the tongue centered in the shoe, to fix that, a little tab was added to the tongue on the Adrenaline GTS 11. Brooks also included their DNA technology to provide their next generation cushioning to this shoe. Brooks DNA technology allows the cushioning response to change with the changing pace of your run and is seen on several other Brooks running shoes.
Adrenaline GTS 11 Features
This shoe has BioMoGo, which is Brooks biodegradable midsole technology, along with a segmented crash pad to help absorb any heel impact. The upper is made of mesh to maintain breathability, and the Progressive Diagonal Rollbar helps provide the core stability of the shoe.

As far as shoe sizing goes, the common recommendation is to buy the shoe a half size bigger. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 is a lightweight stability shoe that has kept many runners happy, and adding a tab to keep the tongue centered and DNA cushioning technology, has proven to be a great update of its predecessor, the successful Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10.
