Having run in many different types of shoes for distance running over the years, I found myself increasingly getting knee injuries and being advised to pursue higher and higher levels of stability shoes to offset my pronation and heal striking. After reaching the top of the line stability Asics shoe and continuing to get knee pain I decided to go in the opposite direction towards that of a minimal shoe such as Vibram to straighten my ankle and knees. I don't run in my Vibrams yet but it lead me to look into different methodologies in shoe design and a Sports Doctor referred me to Newtons. After putting over 100 miles in my Sir Issac S, I can happily say without a doubt that they are the best running shoe I have ever owned and I am injury free *knock on wood*. I can't say enough good things about the shoe and I will be buying Newtons from now on. Many thanks from me and my knees!
