New Asymmetrical lacing allows broader number of foot types it will fit well. Improved midfoot wrap. Great colors, this shoe looks like it will continue to do very well. It is one of the best selling neutral trail shoes.

Light, flexible and all the benefits of your typical clunky trail shoe. No medial post but still is somewhat stable. So long as you don’t require motion control this is a good shoe.

Regarding the fit of the Brooks Cascadia, Brooks is sticking to pliable, soft suede materials and focusing in on that midfoot wrap. Fit for the hard core, technical trail enthusiast is most crucial on some of that crazy terrain. The asymmetry found in the laces is located on the medial met head of the eyestay, and is fairly discreet. It allows for a bit of adjustability depending on how wide one’s forefoot is – its not as “extreme” as some may regard asymmetrical laces.
