The Asics Gel Cumulus 11 are Neutral/Cushioned running shoes that also designed with a bit more stability/support too, so if you are a neutral runner and log a lot of miles or are above average weight, these running shoes might be the best running shoes for you. Compared to last years Asics Gel Cumulus 10, there is a weight drop down to 11.6 oz, and a new tongue construction where the lateral half of the tongue is sewed into to the shoe so it opens up from the medial side only which is intended to provide better lateral support through the midfoot for underpronators.

Similar to the Asics Gel Nimbus 11, the Asics Gel Cumulus 11 midsole is different between men and women in what Asics calls their Gender Specific Space Trusstic System that allows for the periodic changes in the shape of a woman’s arch maintaining comfort and support in the running shoe.

The midsole uses a new Solyte midsole material that has different amount in the midsole between men and women because of the weight/build differences bewteen men and women. So the women’s shoes are a bit lighter because less Solyte material support is needed due to less weight and impact.

Some of the complaints about the Asics Cumulus running shoe in previous version were about the heel causing irritation, but they have attempted some changes in the heel area, including removing some stitching. Additionally, the toe box is slightly smaller in the Cumulus 11 than the 10.

When looking to fit this shoe, many people report it is common for the fit to run small, so it is suggested to pick one half size bigger than you normally do.
